then i started doing a few mods















then my suspension arived in the post which was a nice suprise after been waiting so long for a set of of coilovers but then they aparently got lost in the post so in my haist to get LOW i bought a set of gas dampers and springs wicth lowers her 80mm at the front and 45mm on the back =] which has left her like this which is how she will be staying for a while =]


















































i have bin saving up a lil bit of money and selling unesary things to make money for my mk2 =] so i did a nice lil ebay order and scrap yard scavange well on ebay i bought a new passenger door handle cus mine was nakerd completly lol i also bought a steering wheel boss for a steering wheel iv had ages i bought some new rear top mounts as mine had rotten trough and kept bashing the parcel mount supports and as some one toldme what my paint code was i also bought a can of vw diamond silver =] so i could touch up here in there =]

so my first battle i targeted was the top mounts

i then decided after fitting them i was going to tackle the dreaded rust =[ but thankfully there was hardly any on the car due to the previouse owner (the only owner) looked after it so well! =] but i must say any one who owns a mk2 needs some of this :-

its amazing stuff really is! =]






while i was waiting for all that to set i tackled the door handle =]

looks good =] and i love the chrome inserts such a huge diffrence but such a small touch =] you gota love scrap yards and stuff that fits in your pockets lol

i also did a lil bit of panle beating and wire brushing a small dent i had on the car


then applied a skim of filler

no more dent woop woop =] still needs priming and painting but havnt got round to it as i was doing so many other things on the golf lol

then aplied a skim of fill on the bottom of my rotton and rust remided door =]



then i primed the door =]

looks really good i have actually painted the door but by the time i finished it was too dark and i couldnt get a decent pic on the camara but i will take some pics of the finished thing tomorow when i put up the finished update =]

heres my new steering wheel gives such a good feel for steering and feels great to drive with =]


this is the golf out side my house while the work was taken place lol


and heres gemma (my missis) helping by takeing my wheel off lol


i also picked up a set of bmw e30 bbs wheels from the scrappy not bad for 50 notes

they need a massive refurb but there all straight =]


and i need to get rid of the ballon tyres and im guna fit 195/45/14 to give a nice low profile look and should finish of my stance and give a great agresive look =]

i started a lil bit more on the rest of the body work today i smoothed out some imperfections and i also decided while i was at it to delete the rear golf badge =]





i put a few more skims of layers over the dent =]

i also started to prep and paint the bottom of the other door and to get rid of the small pacth of rust on the corner =]


then i started to mask up the car =]





all masked up now i got it primed up =D



the a very light light coat of dimond silver =D



then thanks to our great british weather the heavens opened so i had to pack up and leave her like this for the time being


well this is my update of a days work from last week and todays work =D

the other day i decided i was going to have a crack at making upgraded headlight looms and fitted one to my car and the diffrence is unbelivable! =D






and the diffrence is unbeliveble this is my headlights in the day look at how much brighter they are! =D


so today! 1/3/11

i decided the weather was good enuff to finsh my spray job i was doing =D its turned out really well im well happy its a mint job for a spray can job on a driveway! =D

masked all up again =]





got some layers of diomand sliver down =]




then the god of wind was agains me and a pice of masking tape n news paper blew up and inprinted the news paper in the side of my door=[



luckily i cought it early enuff and it only left a ink print so a lil wet and dry back to a previouse layer of paint and sprayed it all up again =D

4 hours later paint was completly dry to the touch so i then startedpiceing my golf back together =D








overall im preety dam happy with the out come just guna leav it a couple of days now for the paint to fully cure then ina week or so i shall tee cut the whole car and linseed the bumpers and trims =D

i also got a spakning new chrome badge as i decided the black one just didnt suit my car as shes not a gti! lol


iv still got 2 lil pacthes of rust thats needs my attention wicth i will sort just need to get some more paint =D but now i can start refurbing my bbs rz! carnt wait! =D

4/3/11 little update

well i got a few things i orderd in the post still waiting on a few items but this is ware i am so far =]

i also decied as i dont have a gti i carnt put a gti badge on my grill but i thought i deserve a gril badge so i poped this on =D lol


i hate the fact that those stupid swicth blanks in the dash are useless so i also gave them a use today =D



the lil red push button i wired in today is a push button start woop woop =D

and the snazzy lil chrome swicthes dont do anything yet but soon they will lol

22/3/11 update

thanks to pootz imnow in possesion of a set of gti clocks! they look ace and have a rev gauge wooop wooop hers the pics of todays work lol =]

started by getting all the swicthes off lol



heres the new clocks and my lunch! lol


i got the dash surround off but not with out a fight for sum reason lol it was ok it was bust any way lol



good job i got a nice new one to go in lol

just a few lil things i have done so i thought i better share lol

after getting a new head unit i thought id keep the light finger bar stewards at bay lol


i then got 2 new lil badges wicth were actualy mudflap badges but i adapetd them and im happy with the result =D




i also adapetd one into a grill badge =D




and instead of thos amber bulbs you get in the angel eyes i replaced them with white leds and well happy with the result =D

just very little update my number plates came woohoooo there 100% uk legal so what ya rekon now then dubbers?

my stickers cam so now i have finished off my stripe down the window! lol




and i also sticker bombed my mirror!


i also fitted a air filter and modified air box/pipe from a corsa b so i can put my filter and chrome pipe on lol its still not 100% finished as im waiting for my oil catch tank to come to finish it lol




and these are my bargine of the week total costing 8.00 quid from the scrappy lol

5/4/11 heres my next update bin doing a few custom things today as i got some more rods for my welder =D

first of all the bits i orderd off ebay cam so i could make a oil cacth tank

i used a hairdressers bottal a diddy filter and some brass screws =D



then i welded all my exhaust and finally got it sitting straght =D
also gave it a lick of heat paint =D







then at the scrappy i went and got a strut brace of a mitisibishi fto and started custom making it =D i had to cut and bend it to sit around the water bottal and my air box then extend it with a very strong bit of bar =D then i painted it with some white gloss still not quite fished as i havnt fastend it to the car yet thats tomorows job lol








thats all today what do you all rekon i will carry on updating tomorow =D

6/4/11 heres a lil update of my work today =D

i did my old rokar today n got most of the rust and treated it and painted it i think it looks ace!

shes preety much ready for a few buts of intense engine work including head gasket polished head and new cam built with all new fluids and samco silicone hoses =D

16/4/11 just a little update while the weather was nice =D

i decidedwhile i was tidieing up the engine bay i would like to paint it up and make it look fresh =]

its only half way there but you will get the picture =]

i clended it all up treated the rust and painted it up in hameright white =]









i also fiited new battery connectors there just a nice and easy snap off fitment =]

and gave her a nice new fuel filter << i did that the other day but i dont think i uploaded the pic =] lol


and i just took a couple of other photos while i was cleaning up =]

a lil while since iv doen anything but heres a few lil things a couple i picked up from the dubs on the farm

one included this beetle exhaust wicth iv cut n modded to fit =D











its still not finished but its on just needs tidieing up now but sounds great!!!!!


i also got thes eye lids for a beetle =D

i test fitted them to a old grill i had =D









think they suit it very well and its diffrent! =D

i also got a few things of mk2vrpolished parts =D

hey all i know its been a very long time since iv updating butbeen really bizy with all sorts thats going on but hey here we go just a few more lil bits to keep you eager people reading =D

first started by putting my new windscreen in so i had to get the old one out wicth after then looked like this lol

heres my today update and shes getiing ready for a new lump and i have been de- waxoiling the wheel arches and the sills and chassie legs ready for new underseal to go and inspect places but i was so happy to see no holes at all in the inner wings i was so suprised that there was no rust under the amount of crud and grime so happy anyway intill tomorow check these new piccys =)
